Our Favorite Tattoo Designs for Men

Considering some permanent art on your body? With so many styles to choose from, it can be a little overwhelming. Throughout the past couple decades, there’s been many new emerging styles building upon the existing designs we all know and appreciate.

Tattoos can range from quotes to animals, to portraits and landscapes. The idea itself is different from the actual design of the tattoo artists near me. Take the concept of a quote, for example. You can make the quote a thin, delicate line masterpiece…Or take the edgier route and get something with a more traditional feel.

Feel free to read through a few of our picks for the best tattoo designs for men.

1. Traditional

Old school (tattoos) are defined by the Western or traditional American tattoo style including bold black outlines and a limited color selection.

Ed Hardy is a perfect example of this style. Traditional tattoos are a classic necessity when it comes to men’s tattoo designs.

2. Polynesian (Tribal)

All Polynesian tattoos have symbols that are based on the elements of Water, Earth, Wind, and Fire.  For example, shells represent peace and fertility. Power and courage are symbolized through shark teeth…And just to name another -  a spearhead represents the power of an individual.

Although they are still classic, there is an edge to this kind of art.

3. Geometric

Geometric tattoos come in a wide range of color palettes and designs. Styles of this include anything from totally abstract, to an interesting spin on a classic image.

A geometric tattoo deals with multiple lines or geometric shapes that form a larger image or shape - all together.

Quite literally anything you can imagine as a tattoo design can be turned into a geometric style. This has recently emerged over the years and represents a simple kind of artistic elegance.

4. Fine Line

In other words, tattoos done with a single point that creates thin lines and delicate designs. This is a beautiful style that looks intricate and detailed.

You might also feel less pain than you would getting a traditional tattoo that involves thicker, bolder lines.

Along with geometric tattoos, this is a style that has emerged and taken over tattoo trends.
